Adsorption dryer
Adsorption dryers have two towers. These towers are filled with absorbent materials (molecular resorptive, active aluminum, silica gel). The moisture in the compressed air is absorbed by the absorbent materials in one of the towers, while the regeneration stage takes place in the other tower. The purpose of the regeneration operation is that moisture-free compressed air is introduced at a very low flow rate from the top of the tower, which causes all the absorbed moisture to settle down and be discharged from a separate solenoid valve. And it is ready for use after a certain time (replacement of towers). It is necessary to use a dust filter to prevent dust from the absorbent materials of the desiccant dryer from entering the compressed air consumption line.
